I believe Art Center is one of very top school in the world. Although when it comes to management some characters are need to be questioned . This is not just for this school, but many of our schools which are world famous the donations that have received need to be reviewed, and the ways they have been managed. We American are generous in general particularly when it comes to our favorite Schools, and where we were graduated from, but many questions to be answered by auditing them. The chairman of each school and at the very top the President are responsible .
Art Center taught me confidence. My teachers gave me permission to grow into my gifts. I was told yes you can. I have been in various art fields for over 40 years. Yes I am that old. At 65 I am now retired and a full time professional international wildlife painter. I am living the dream. Thank you Art Center.

It is a excellent school where you make friends for life and a community that helps you forward. From the teachers and staff to everybody that goes to school there all work together to advance design. I would go back in a flash
If you ever get a chance to experience what this Collage has to offer and see what past students have done and what types of projects current students are working on, you will be wildly impressed with how talented these young people are!
I graduate in 1970 and enjoyed a fruitful career in graphic, commercial interiors and exhibit design for thirty years, thanks to Art Center. I was hired by three of my former instructors, Bruce Burdick, Morgan Embroden and Mike Sanchez. One of my good friends, who also was hired by Bruce Burdick, Gaylord Eckles, now teaches there. I taught my craft at Otis Parsons and Pasadena Community College. I am now enjoying retirement as a published writer and currently working on my second and third books.
I attended ArtCenter in the mid 70's when it was still in Los Angeles. While there, I received amazing instruction from great designers, I received solutions that I utilize to this very day. ArtCenter is not a conventional college. It's a place where one learns the importance of creating great design and the responsibility one has for their future clients.
It is a fantastic school to learn a variety of creative professions.
Teachers are fantastic, and the people and friends I've made here are irreplaceable and some of the best people I've ever met. However financial aid and services have been nightmares. Been dealing with issues for over 2 years now. I have all records in check and they are failing to report. Don't ask for financial help from them otherwise. This has affected my life plans in more ways than one, I cant return to school, and their miss-reporting has affected credit issues in more ways than once.
I graduated 1971 with BFA and MFA in painting and drawing. I had the good fortune...timing...whatever, to be exposed to three of the finest and most inspirational art instructors of any fine art program. The best were Lorser Feitelson, Harry Carmean, and Glenn Vilppu. This was when the school was on West 3rd in LA. Those were the days. I am indebted to Art Center for their excellent choice of those three to head the fine art department of that school.
I attended Art Center in the mid 70's when the school was on West Third. I had a BFA, but felt my conceptual skills could use a boost. By the time I got into Ken Berris' Ad class I was making rapid improvement and that class sealed the deal for me. I had some great samples from his class and was planning to interview at Leo Burnett, USA in Chicago and others in New York. By the time we drove to Chicago in 1976 my wife and I were down to about $100. We got a cheap hotel and interviewed the next morning. They made me a good offer, I liked the group I was to be part of and stayed for 5 years before starting our own design firm (my wife is a writer) in the Chicago area, specializing in advertising and annual report design. We kept that going into the 2000s. I still do occasional projects, but spend most of my time creating posters and art prints which I sell on my website.
