I attended OLA from 1993 to 1999 and my absolute favorite teacher was Mrs. Baxter. I recently found a science paper that I wrote on pH for her class around 1997. It was a report of which I was extremely proud. I am now working on my PhD in chemistry and regularly make pH sensors which makes me even more proud of the report. I got an amazing education at OLA and highly recommend the school.

I was the first of my 4 family members to graduate from OLA. We all started in kindergarten. We were there when nuns ran the school and were most of the teachers. They lived in a convent attached to the school building. I fondly remember Sister Bridget, Sister Dennis Marie and Sister Valentino. Such a blessed time of my life. It makes me so happy to know the school and its traditions are still thriving. Class of 1969.

I am still proud to be an alumni of OLA! Kindergarten to eighth grade! Sister Bridget was no nonsense and tough! I was in Mrs Murphy's class the yr President Kennedy was killed, and recall vividly all the teachers crying like me, I had a serious crush on that handsome man! My first kiss was waiting for the school bus in 8th grade, a quick peck from my steady beau, captain of the football and basketball team, that didn't escape the oft too watchful eye of Sr. Bridget, from her office window. We were reprimanded promptly...lol...so many memories. Catholic grade school at it's best, line up each day by height, sing the national anthem, prayers each day. Life at it's best. Instilling a strong sense of right and wrong... knowing the difference between Heaven and Hell...pride in believing in God and in being an American...priceless. America needs it now sorely. Thank you, OLA.
